Toshiba is committed to customer service and to continuous improvement in the quality of its products.  Accordingly, we are advising you that, in a limited number of 55G300U, 55HT1U and 55G310U LCD televisions, an LCD panel inverter failure may occur causing your television to lose its picture.  

Though this failure has occurred in a relatively small number of the televisions sold, Toshiba will extend the warranty on the potentially affected models, to cover this specific failure for an additional year. 

NOTE: The display panel does not need to be replaced for this issue. The replacement of the display panel will not be covered for out of warranty units. The Inverter Kit replacement will be covered for units that fall in the affected range as explained in this bulletin.

If you should experience a loss of the LCD picture please contact the Toshiba call center at (800) 631-3811.  If your manufacturer’s warranty has expired the call center agent will be able to determine if the repair will be covered under the warranty extension based on your serial number and the symptom.  If covered, the agent will schedule an on-site repair at no cost to you.
