An LCD screen is made up of thousands of “picture elements” called Pixels. Each pixel is in turn made up of three “sub-pixels” red, blue and green. Occasionally one of the pixels or one or more of the sub-pixels will fail.
A display may qualify for a warranty repair if it exhibits ten or more failed pixels or sub-pixels.
