Intel NIC driver(82557) causes Blue Screen during boot into Windows NT 4.0

- Intel NIC causes Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) during Windows NT Boot. The NIC card may also cause the BSOD during the installation and setup of Windows NT 4.0.
- Procedure
Uninstall the native Intel 82557 NIC driver in network properties and install the Intel 82559 driver available on the Documents and Software CD for the M500 Server. COMMENTS: If the latest NIC driver is not provided during the Windows NT 4.0 installation process (by selecting Have Disk...), Windows NT setup will load the driver for the Intel 82557 Chipset.The Windows NT 4.0 native drivers for the Intel NIC is not compatible with the 82559 Chipset.
