Information
  1. Check the Batteries in the Remote Control.
  2. Test the Remote Control by pressing the MENU button / option with the projector ON. This should cause the projector Menus to appear on-screen. If this happens, you know the remote control is working. Be sure that there is nothing between the front of the projector and the remote control when you are conducting this test.
  • If the remote is working with the projector, but not with your computer:
  • The Remote Control works as a 'Wireless USB Mouse / Device". Windows 95 will not accept this USB device. It is compatible with Windows 98/ME/NT/2000 and Apple/Mac.
  1. Press the PC / Computer button on the Remote Control.
  2. Firmly press the various edges / pressure points on the Remote Control "Mouse" gyro-point. Your computer mouse should move in conjunction to your pressure on the gyro-point.
  3. If this still does not work, check to insure that the USB cable is firmly connected to your computer USB port from the projector M1-DA Cable. The signal from the Remote Control is received by the projector and passed to the computer through the M1-DA cable and USB port.
  4. If there is still no response, reboot the computer with the projector ON and the cables connected. Many operating systems will search for connected devices during the "boot-up" routine and automatically configure your system to recognize the external device.
  5. In the event that it is the first time that the M1-DA cable is connected to the USB port (or if it was never previously configured), your system may prompt you to "Install Drivers for a New USB Device". Do not Cancel or Quit this process. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the default drivers and settings for a wireless USB Mouse or Device. This will configure your system to accept the Remote Control as a wireless mouse.

  • Most current systems do not require all of these steps for installing a USB Device. In the event that this does occur, it usually only has to be set-up one time, and the computer should automatically accept the Remote Control as a wireless mouse from that point forward.
  • Once the computer is back on, the Remote Control should be recognized as a "Remote USB Mouse", moving and launching applications at your command, or paging through presentations from various points around the room.
