- While using Bluetooth you may notice a 30 day trial or evaluation period for the Toshiba Bluetooth software.
- Resolution
- For Bluetooth there are two parts, the computer side and the device side(for example a Bluetooth mouse). For the Bluetooth device side the manufacturer doesn't matter, as any Bluetooth device from any manufacturer should work with any computer properly setup with Bluetooth, assuming that the hardware requirements are met. For the computer side, you have to use Toshiba Bluetooth hardware with the Toshiba Bluetooth software stack. The Toshiba Bluetooth hardware can be the built in or it can be the Toshiba USB Bluetooth dongle. If on the computer you are using 3rd party Bluetooth hardware, then the Bluetooth software stack needs to be compatible with it.If you use 3rd party Bluetooth hardware for the computer side, then the Toshiba Bluetooth software will only work for 30 days.Solutions:
- Get and use the 3rd party Bluetooth software stack. (Uninstall the Toshiba one first.)
- Get and use the Toshiba Bluetooth hardware, which will work fine with the Toshiba Bluetooth software stack. You will need to remove the 3rd party Bluetooth hardware that is connected to the computer.
