Keyboard Dock Battery Does Not Charge

Issue

In some situations, when the tablet is connected to the keyboard docker, the battery status message, that displays when the Power ICON is selected, shows Battery #2 (keyboard dock battery)  as "Not Present".  When this status is displayed the keyboard docker battery will not charge.

Resolution

This condition is resolved in the most recent BIOS release. Please note that batteries that are completely drained may require additional time to start charging.  It may be necessary to plug the laptop in for 12 hours before the battery will start to take a charge.

For Satellite Click W35t models:

  1. Download and install from Toshiba Service Station.
  2. Download and install: BIOS version 1.10 or higher.

For Satellite Click W35Dt Models:

  1. Download and install from Toshiba Service Station.
  2. Download and install: BIOS version 1.40 or higher.
Procedure
  1. Download the BIOS and save to a convenient location.
  2. Save all work in progress, then close all applications and programs.
  3. Double-click the downloaded file to start the install.
  4. Answer the prompts to complete the install.
  5. If the tablet has been docked to the Keyboard Dock during the BIOS update, please undock and restart the tablet.
