This is the R7.6 Product Release. It has been put through a full system test
and is suitable for deployment to end-users.

This is the last major DisplayLink software release to support Windows XP.

DisplayLink Software Release R7.6 delivers the following features:

- Disabled and Removed "Optimized for Video" from the DisplayLink UI

======================================================
This software release contains an embedded firmware image.
DL-3xx0/DL-41xx/DL-5xx0 devices will be automatically upgraded with this
firmware upon connection.

DisplayLink Software Release R7.6M0 delivers the following features:
- Support for DL-5500
- Disabled and Removed "Optimized for Video" from the DisplayLink UI

Monitor connected to DVI can show frozen screen on DL-3950 devices with
Displayport and DVI outputs after multiple DVI hotplugs (17128)

The hardware ID of monitor connected to DisplayLink device is branded
as "Default Monitor" on XP and Vista (16976)

Miracast stops working when DisplayLink driver is installed
on Dell Venue 8 Pro (16758)

Monitor connected to HDMI output does not show pixels if using same video
timings as monitor connected to VGA output (16703)

The last MAC address in the multicast filtering list is sometimes not applied
(17101)

On some systems, with high resolution in-build screens, monitors connected
to DisplayLink outputs can show slight corruption when resuming from suspend
(16200)

Add 2048x1152 and 1900x1440 modes when a 2560x1440 HDMI display is connected
(17209)

Installer compatibility check could sometimes incorrectly detect 3rd party USB
graphics software installed (17201)

Sometimes Displaylink monitor flickers when running DirectX application in full
screen (16260)

Desktop Windows Manager can crash occasionally when changing
window size (16963)

Some modes supported by monitor are not available to the user (16709)

Video: video is supported in extend mode with most popular video players on
Windows XP - Windows 8.1.

Installation on Windows Server 2008 R2 is enabled, but untested. End users may
try to use DisplayLink on server editions, but these are not supported
configurations.

I. Known Issues and Limitations
===============================
System behaviour with DisplayLink attached screens has been well tested.
Testing covers plug/unplug, mode changes, playing video, hibernate,
sleep/standby, multiple users, different user rights, attached screen as
primary screen, attached screen as only screen, and other aspects.

Some use cases may exhibit minor issues, general troubleshooting
recommendations are:
- detach then reattach the DisplayLink device's USB cable
- change display settings using DL-GUI
- change display settings using WDP
- ensure you have the latest graphics drivers installed for your system GPU
