Information

The TOSHIBA Eco Charge Mode increases the battery life cycles by not charging to full capacity. This mode is recommended for users who most often use the PC with the AC adapter. The battery life per full charge is shorter in this mode. This mode is enabled/disabled through "Battery Manager".

NOTE: If you use your PC with the battery often, it may change from eco charge mode to the normal charging method to allow for longer battery life per charge. In that case, a notify message that it has changed from “eco charge mode” to a normal charge method will appear.

If you enable this mode, you need to discharge the battery to approximately 50% at least once without plugging in the AC adapter. Failure to do so will result in eco charge mode not being enabled, and the battery life cycles will not increase.

If one of the following occurs, the eco charge mode may be cancelled:

  • When the battery pack and AC adapter are removed while the system is Off.
  • When plugging in the AC adaptor after the battery is completely drained while the system is Off.

NOTE: Not all computers are equipped with this feature. Check the User's Guide for additional information.
